Range Rover Velar SUV

The official launch was at the Geneva Motor Show on 7 March 2017 and first appeared in the showrooms for sale in the summer of 2017. In 2018 the Land Rover Velar won the World Car Design of the Year at the 2018 World Car Awards.

Available in a choice of V6 and 4-cylinder Ingenium engines. Built on the Jaguar Land Rover iQ[AI] (D7a) platform, the Range Rover Velar shares a number of components with the Jaguar F-Pace, XF, and XE models, notably its aluminium platform and 2,874 mm (113.1 in) wheelbase.

The cockpit of the Velar is more driver-focused and the seating position is lower than any other Land Rover before. If you’re looking for a luxury SUV with a comfortable, refined performance drive, look no further, the Land Rover Velar will not disappoint.

Our recommended written review...

Our recommended Range Rover Velar review comes from What Car

"The V6 petrol engine is near-silent at low revs. And as the engine speed increases, it generates a pleasant V6 howl, albeit one overlaid with a whine from the supercharger. The higher-powered four-cylinder petrol (we have yet to try the 247bhp version) is decently smooth and quiet when you’re driving gently. Push it harder and, while the noise isn’t unpleasant, it is more hot hatch than Range Rover."
